How it started: In 2015 I was asked to be the maid of honor in my sister's wedding. While accompanying her during wedding dress shopping, I fell in love with the experience that small, intimate boutiques created for the bride. During this time I was working in corporate retail but longing to create something of my own. With an eagerness to fulfill a dream and my love for retail & fashion, Blush Bridesmaid was born. Here, I was able to re-create that personal, boutique-style experience but with a niche on focusing specifically on the bridal party. Together with my Mom, Carey, we put our hearts & souls into creating a multi award-winning destination wedding shop in Connecticut and have been fortunate to help style thousands of women for over 2,000 weddings and special events.
While expanding was a goal, it took some time to get here (instead, I was focused on an expanding family!). The pursuit began with the task of re-locating, re-building and re-branding while expanding the product line to include modern, yet timeless wedding gowns at accessible price points.

Ivory & Blush: Our name is a reflection of growth and evolution but also represents our commitment to staying true to who we are. We were Blush first and will continue to offer our unique collection of bridesmaid dresses and appointments for your bridal party. With our 2024 "Ivory" debut of wedding gowns, we promise to remain dedicated to providing you with the same exceptional service and experince you have come to expect for the most memorable event of your life.​​

Lindsay - Owner
An entrepreneur at heart, Lindsay loves owning a business where she can create a space where women feel celebrated, comfortable and confident. Prior to opening the business in 2016, Lindsay worked in corporate retail marketing where she led a creative team of designers, photographers and writers, often working in New York, Chicago and France. She has worked alongside fashion icons like Stacy London and has used her experience to influence her unique approach to the bridal world.

On her downtime you can usually find her at home hanging out with her husband, 3 year old boy and 15 year old stepson, reading a book or planning a family vacation.
Carey - Stylist + Seamstress (+ Mom)
Patience, kindness + talented. These are the words to describe Carey. Customers have come to know & love her, showering her with gifts, cards and stopping in just to say "hi!". With a love for textiles and fabric, she has been sewing since 1965, when her Mother gifted her a sewing machine at 10 years old. When she wasn't busy as a teacher + principal for 35 years, you'd find her behind her sewing machine making clothing, gowns, home decor and altering friends & family's garments. Carey has been instrumental in the growth of Ivory & Blush with her knowledge of gown construction and keen eye for knowing what styles + silhouettes are most complementary. Although she has officially retired as our seamstress, she remains a dedicated and invaluable team member, and continues as a beloved stylist. Carey lives in Northford with her husband and maltese and has 2 daughters, 2 sisters, 4 very adored grandkids and many loved nieces & nephews.
Jennifer - Stylist
A dedicated resident of Guilford, Jennifer is passionate about family, fashion, and community. When she's not cheering on her son's hockey and baseball games or visiting her daughter at college, Jennifer loves helping women discover their beauty and confidence. With a lifelong enthusiasm for retail and fashion, she strives to make every woman feel stunning and empowered.
